Wand 3d but don't like 3d glasses ? don't hold your breath. if TV manufacturers could deliver 3d without specs now, they definitely would; every brands is acutely aware of the fact that many prospective buyers are put off both by the business of wearing glasses, and by the costs involved, especially to a family.
Nintendo's 3ds handheld uses glasses-free "lenticular" screen technology. but a small screen in a portable console is one thing; a big TV is quite another, and lenticular screens don't work properly unless you're viewing from dead center. what about holograms? japan is aiming to have a holographic broadcast system in time for the 2022 world Cup, so it can send images from 200 HD cameras live to stadia worldwide, where the players and ball will be projected onto the pitch, it might take a bit longer to get that at home.
