Wink XTS

India's very own offering to the e-reader market, the resembles an Amazonian of yore; but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve.

Although the form factor is fairly reminiscent of an older version of the kindle, Indian-born wink pleases with a slim and lightweight build. the 6in e-ink display reads well, but the overall interface is quite sluggish at times. the keys are positively tiny at times. the keys are positively tiny and take some getting used to.

EC media's ensured that wink readers have a bit to start with. you get to choose between 200,000 book titles right off the bat; from publishers like Oxford university, Roli penguin and Harper Collins. books can be bought from www.thewinkstore.com.

The major differentiating factor for the Wink, and one which will play a big part in garnering a loyal following in India. is its ability to support up to 15 regional languages. Definite potentila here. teh wink also recognises over 10 types of text formats; a very handy feature.
